Still Here in Bla Bla Land.
Until I have something to say of worth, I'll just post my top 10 thoughts...
1. Why is it so difficult to get a transparent background on my mac?
2. I am sick of reorganizing the same crap in my house. I've thrown stuff out just b/c I don't have a place to put it. I need more closet or drawer space. A final workable solution PLEASE.
3. I love Winesap apples.
4. I have to get back on the Weight Watchers program.
5. DH is overly obsessed with his tech toys.
6. I'm really glad Sammy is doing well in school this year.
7. I wish Trev was coming home after school today.
8. I can't wait to get the door hung on my bedroom. This afternoon!!!
9. Cold doesn't make you have a cold... true, BUT it does lower your immune system which makes you more susceptible to illness.
10. My posture sucks. I have to keep working on that.

My Favorite Aria
This is not Pavarotti's signature take. It is a version sung by Paul Potts, a British cell phone salesman. It is unbelievable.
Trivia: Nessun Dorma (None Shall Sleep) is an emotional aria from the last act of Puccini's Turandot and is the signature piece in many a tenor's repertoire, most notably that of the late great Pavarotti.
Turandot is a Rumpelstiltskinesque fairy tale of an opera. The story is centered around a beautiful and cold hearted princess (Turandot) who lures would be suitors to their death by forcing them to answer three riddles. The correct answer wins the prince a bride, the wrong answer loses him his head.

Steve Jobs is a God and Apple Rocks
I'm not even kidding. I wrote a detailed email with respectful accounting of my situation. My new iMac needed massive hardware repair. It totaled 1400 dollars. It was a little over one year old...
I spoke with Apple and basically got the "We're sorry for your loss" speech. Polite, yet ineffective. I wrote to Steve. (Yeah. He's Steve to me now.) and one and a half days later to the hour... a phone call from Apple.
Janell from Stamford CT Apple store told me that she heard about my problem. It was an understandible conundrum (my words.) The computer was to be fixed, gratis. New logic board. New graphics card. Top of the line. Immediately. In six hours, it was complete. In 10 hours I had my iMac back. Perfect. No unfair fees. No fees period.
Thank you to Janell, Jared and most of all thank you Steve Jobs and Apple.
You have restored my faith. Well Done.

Apple Can You Hear Me?
I want my iMac back.
The ransom after paying 3800 dollars a year or so ago, is now topping 1400 dollars.
Save Me Mr. Jobs. Be my hero and in this terrible economy, keep me wanting to spend my spare cash on Apple products. Cause I do. I reallly do. I want the iPhone next and Macbook Air too. I can't do any work on this crummy PC laptop.
I have written for help. If there is a tech God, he is Mr. Jobs. He can reanimate me, my iMac and my purse?
Please?
It's not fair.
